Web design for cafés

Website design for coffee shops, cafés and roasters

Most people find a café on their phone, a few minutes before they want a coffee. We design fast, good-looking websites that answer their questions straight away (where you are, when you're open and what's on the menu) and, if you roast, sell your beans online.

What it needs to do

What a great café website does

A café website isn't a brochure. It's what people check before they walk in, so it has to be quick, clear and useful on a small screen.

01

Hours and directions, instantly

Opening hours, your address and a one-tap map link sit where people look first, so nobody has to hunt for them on their phone.

02

A menu that reads well on a phone

A real text menu instead of a blurry PDF: quick to load, easy to update and readable by Google.

03

Beans, gift cards and subscriptions

An online shop for bags of coffee, gift cards or subscriptions, on Shopify, WooCommerce or a lightweight custom checkout.

04

Found on Google and Maps

Local SEO done properly: café structured data, the same name, address and hours everywhere, and a site that backs up your Google Business Profile.

05

Photos that sell the visit

Layouts built around your space, your people and your coffee, with images compressed to load fast on mobile data.

06

Wholesale and event enquiries

Simple forms for wholesale accounts, catering or private bookings that land straight in your inbox.

Concept website for an artisan coffee roastery, with a cream, terracotta and clay palette

Concept work

See it in action.

We designed a concept site for an artisan coffee roastery to show how this comes together: warm, editorial styling, a clear path from the beans to the story to a visit, and opening hours that are easy to find on any screen. It's a concept rather than a client, so feel free to explore it.

Built to be found

Ready for “coffee near me”

Every café site we build ships with the local SEO basics in place, so Google understands who you are, where you are and when you're open.

  • Page titles and descriptions written for the searches your customers actually make
  • Café structured data with your address, opening hours and menu
  • A 90+ Google PageSpeed target, so pages load fast on mobile data
  • Google Search Console set up and your sitemap submitted
  • Links between your site, Google Business Profile, delivery apps and Instagram
  • Clean pages you own outright, with no page-builder lock-in

FAQ

Café website questions

Anything else? Just ask. We reply within one business day.

Can I update the menu and opening hours myself?

Small changes like menu updates, prices and new opening hours are included in the care plan: just email us and they're done. If you'd rather edit parts of the site yourself, mention it in your brief and we'll include it in your quote.

Can you add an online shop for beans or merch?

Yes. We build online shops on Shopify, WooCommerce or a lightweight custom checkout, depending on what you sell and how you want to manage orders. Shops are scoped individually and usually take four to eight weeks.

Do I need a website if I already have Instagram?

Instagram is great for showing what's new, but it isn't built to answer the questions people search for, like your hours, location and menu, and you don't control it. A website gives you a home you own that shows up in local searches and links out to Instagram, delivery apps and your shop.

Will my café show up on Google Maps?

Your Maps listing comes from your Google Business Profile rather than your website, but the two work together. We make sure both use the same name, address and hours and link to each other, which helps Google trust the details.

Can you help with photos?

Yes. Real photos of your space, your team and your coffee work best, and we'll tell you exactly what to shoot. Until you have them, we can use carefully chosen stock imagery that fits your style.
